At the age of fourteen, Enric Peidro discovered the tenor saxophone and developed an interest in jazz. Since then, he has remained true to his musical role models: Jazz masters such as Leon "Chu" Berry, Ben Webster, Don Byas, Coleman Hawkins, Benny Carter and Lester Young as well as some of their students, such as Paul Gonsalves, Illinois Jacquet, Zoot Sims, Charlie Ventura, Flip Phillips, Arnett Cobb, Buddy Tate and Al Cohn.

Peidro's sound and phrasing are deeply rooted in the swing era and his approach is so natural and authentic that he has gained great popularity and is known to lovers of classic jazz throughout Europe. His authentic, unpretentious approach, the richness of his tenor sound and his knowledge of classic jazz are constantly highlighted. Enric Peidro loves swing and jazz and you can feel it!

In recent years, he has worked primarily as the bandleader of two formations: A quartet and a sextet that perform under the name Enric Peidro Swingtet on the jazz scene in Spain and throughout Europe. The Enric Peidro Swingtet is an integral part of many swing dance festivals, such as the Valencia Balboa Festival or The Snowball in Stockholm.

As a bandleader, Enric has recorded 18 albums under his own name and more than 40 albums as a sideman. His collaboration with the international saxophonist and entertainer Ray Gelato deserves special mention. Together they have released an album entitled "With all due respect" and the new album "Live at the Polisonic" will be released in spring 2023. Enric also shares the leadership of a quintet with guitarist and bandleader Jonathan Stout. Together they have already released three albums and will soon be releasing two more. Pure swing that makes you want to dance!

There are countless other world-class musicians with whom Enric has collaborated, such as trombonist Dan Barrett, bassist and vocalist Nicki Parrott and pianist Richard Busiakiewicz. As he did 20 years ago, Enric Peidro tirelessly explores the legacy of the masters of the tenor saxophone, seeking to find his personal voice within this musical language and deliver swinging, creative and imaginative music to audiences around the world.
