Registration

  • You can register using the form on the homepage.

  • The contract is concluded upon our written confirmation via email.

  • We reserve the right to reject applications without providing a reason.

Cancellation

  • Cancellation by you:

    • Once your registration has been confirmed, you cannot cancel, and no refunds will be issued.

    • This also applies in the event of illness, accident, or similar circumstances.

    • A missed payment does not constitute a cancellation.

  • Our recommendation: Take out appropriate insurance (e.g., event insurance, trip cancellation insurance, or trip interruption insurance). Such insurance is often included in credit card benefit packages.

  • Cancellation by us:If we have to cancel the festival, we will offer you the following options:

    • Transfer your ticket to an alternate date (if possible)

    • Or a refund of 50% of the ticket price

    • No further refunds will be issued, as we have already incurred costs in advance (deposits, booking fees, and organizational expenses).

Transfer of a registration

  • If you are unable to attend the festival, you may be able to transfer your registration to another person (see FAQ). Conditions:

    • A transfer is only possible with our written consent.

    • The person taking over must have comparable dance experience.

    • Rescheduling is no longer possible starting 7 days before the event.

    • Please send us an email request to info@baseljitterbugs.ch with all the necessary information.

Discount

  • If you're facing financial difficulties, we'll find a solution. Options include:

    • Special discounts

    • Payment in installments

    • Support from our sustainability fund

    • Help out at check-in in exchange for a reduced fee

    • Just contact us directly by email at info@baseljitterbugs.ch.

Payment

  • The registration fee must be paid within 5 days of confirmation of registration.

  • You will receive the payment information via email.

  • Payment processing is handled by our external service providers, Payrexx AG (Switzerland) and Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland). Their terms and conditions also apply.

  • If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to offer your spot to people on the waiting list after sending a reminder.

Hygiene

  • We trust you to take personal responsibility and ask that you follow the general hygiene guidelines:

    • Stay at home if you are ill or have a cold.

    • Wash or sanitize your hands regularly, especially before and after class and between dances.

Changes to the schedule and content

  • Flights may be canceled or delayed. Band members and teachers may miss their flight or train, have car trouble, or get sick. Therefore:

    • We cannot guarantee that all of the announced band members or instructors will be present.

    • There is no entitlement to specific program content.

    • In any case, we will do our best to find a suitable replacement.

    • Any unexpected changes to the schedule, instructors, or other content will be announced on this website.

Marketing & Privacy

  • When you register for one of our festivals, you’ll be added to our mailing list. We’ll send you updates about everything related to your event: reminders, changes, organizational information, and invoices. We’ll also keep you informed about similar events we offer, such as our other festivals, courses, workshops, and parties. You can unsubscribe at any time, either by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by sending a message to info@baseljitterbugs.ch.

  • By participating in courses, workshops, and events, you grant the organizers the unrestricted right to use the images resulting from photo and video recordings, as well as any reproductions or edits of the images and videos, for marketing, promotional, or other purposes. This may include (but is not limited to) the right to use them in print and online advertisements, on social media, in press releases, and in ads. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please let us know before the event.

Code of Conduct

  • By registering, you also agree to our Code of Conduct, which Terms & Conditions an integral part of these Terms & Conditions .

Miscellaneous

  • If we need to change or cancel an order, we will notify you via the email address and/or phone number you provided. In that case, the cancellation policy outlined above will apply.

  • We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that appear to have been placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors.

  • Since these are scheduled recreational events, there is no statutory right of withdrawal.

  • We cannot be held responsible for your valuables or your personal safety. Please be careful—look out for yourself and others.

  • Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.

Legal Information

  • These Terms & Conditions are subject to change Terms & Conditions notice.

  • Swiss law shall apply exclusively.

  • The place of jurisdiction is Basel.
